TAR Valentine's 2011, Part 2

#68: What could go wrong? Well, there are a lot of options...

Part two of the mini comic arc. Darrell finally gets the guts to ask Audrey out for dinner, and everything goes well until he accidentally tips over a table full of food. To top it off, Fiddler's going to beat the crud out of Darrell for ruining his performance...

Again, I was going through an art slump during the making of this comic, so this part might look a little flat and 2-D. Sorry about that.

First off, the phrase Van uses was also used by Blayne in my very first (mini?) comic arc, The Reunion. If you knew what was the outcome of that arc, you'll definitely get a sense of what will happen in this arc. XP

Grog Light is an actual Neopian food item, found at the Golden Dubloon. The two dishes that fly off the table are also entrees from the restaurant,which are Barnacle Bill's Belt Busting Burger and Cap'n Threelegs Cutlass Crusade.

Captain Rourke was supposed to make a brief cameo in the background, but he's covered in speech bubbles, so you can barely see him. XP Garin also in there, but he's off to the left.

And Fiddler? Yeah, he gets really ferocious (not to mention, WAY out of character lol) when you mess up his performances. But this is normal for him. XP; Remember when Dezlon tried to touch his violin? Yeah... not good. XP Also, this was drawn before I redesigned Fiddler's vest. Also-also, this is Fiddler's first (rather loud) speaking role in the comics.

Next week is the Valentine's issue, so you can expect to see some more cute lovey-dovey stuff. XD
